Party Hardy

What did you do on your Saturday night?  I stayed home, did 6 loads of laundry, ironed forEVER, and watched Big Daddy-it's my all time favorite movie (don't judge, I could lie and say some profound, life changing movie was my favorite, but really?).   Now I was thoroughly enjoying my evening until my mom called around 9:30 and when I giddily gave her the run-down of what I was doing her response was, "Easy does it there kid, you don't want to party too hard tonight.  I mean, pace yourself with ironing those shirts."  I (of course) had a snide comment that I don't remember, and went on with the conversation scrutinizing her plans and arguing over who was leading a more exciting life.  Now true, her evening was better-she and my dad went out riding on their motorcycles, but all-in-all I still think mine rocked because a) I got all my laundry done b) I love to iron (yes, you read correctly, and it's okay to insert your laughter here) c) I watched my favorite movie and d) I found that mixing vanilla rum and coke zero was just as awesome as I thought it would be.  Side note: My mom and I have a twisted relationship (see Cookbooks and Dirty Jokes post if you don't believe me).  Additional case and point on this-I called her on my way home from work the other day, first thing out of her mouth when she answers, "OOO, my phone was on vibrate, thanks for the cheep thrill."  REALLY?  This is why I often call her by her first name, because seriously, how else can you respond to your mom when they answer the phone like that?  So in conclusion, I had a very quiet (but awesome) Saturday night and my mom confirmed yet again that we have a twisted relationship.  Can anyone beat that for a Saturday night?

Hmmmm - let's see- I hung out with my parents because I thought they were leaving for the Packers- Cowboys game last night instead of this afternoon.

We grilled hamburgers, brats, italian sausages and hot dawgs. A few Spotted Cows MIGHT have made an appearance or two, we watched the CUBBIES WIN- I jumped around the house a few minutes, calmed down, played a few hands of gin rummy with mi madre, watched a few Tivo'd episodes of Are You smarter than a 5th grader and went to bed at 2130 pm so I could be up and ready to go fishing with my stepdad at 0530 am .... but as far as partying hardy- you win.....

p.s. I can wipe my own ass, AND I will be sending you my laundry via the next FedEx truck. And in addition, I like starch on my srub pants, not on the scrub tops...... *grins*

peace out sucka.....

What exactly is a spotted cow? Like as in an actual cow with spots...I'm a northern city chick transported to the rural south...I'm envisioning you seeing cows with spots on them out of your window...that can't be right.

Now did you go fishing with the goal of actually eating the fish later in the day, or the just-for-fun-throw-it-back kind of fishing? The first type I totally get, the second I'm lost...because I mean what's the point if you don't go home with a prize?

Side note: will Magic Sizing medium hold do? That's my spray starch of choice :-)

Spotted Cow is a locally produced beer product from New Glarus WI.

My sister, brother-in-law and uncle will be accompanying me in 2 weeks to check it out. Perhaps we can make a stop at the gift shop to pick something up in exchange for the kindness of laundry/iron/ starch ;)

I still am unsure as to which Northern city you are from, because it's hard to pick up an accent in your blog...go figure...

The fishing expedition goal was to catch THE BIG ONE and fry it up- that didn't happen, although I did snag a 20 inch Northern, so no going home with a prize...

Magic sizing medium hold...OooOOooOOooOOo sounds so professional and important- if a surprise dyke likes it- then I am all for it.

ps- you didn't mention anything about the fact that I quoted Big Daddy, but I know you know exactly where I quoted it...

I'm from Jersey [the New is not needed, clearly I'm not talking about the place off of Normandy, France], about 45 min. outside of the city (that's New York City for non natives).

I can't believe I didn't address the fact that you wipe your own ass...please forgive me, I definitely laughed when I read it! That is said WAY too much at our house, that and Hip-hop-hiphopanonomous...you give him the easy ones!
