Seriously Contemplating

I'm seriously contemplating my current work situation.  I love my kids.  I love my grade level.  I love making a difference.  I love my job.  I don't love being told I'm a incompetent.  I don't love being talked to as a child.  I don't love being belittled.  I don't love being treated as less than others.  I don't love one person at work.  It's bad y'all.  I've come to the realization today that I have a bully at work.  Not only do I have a bully, but it's someone who has the power to (and is) making my job awful.  Worst part about it, there is nothing I can do.  I've tried ignoring her, avoiding her, never speaking to her, pretending she doesn't exist.  It only makes it worse.  She's pissed because I'm good at my job and I don't need her.  She needs me to need her.  She can piss on a volcano.  I'm damn good at what I do, but really, is it worth being treating like this?  I'm not so sure anymore....

Jersayski- rainbow speak

Red- You know how I can tell you make a difference in the kids life- it comes through- Crystal Clear in your writing...

Orange- The person who told you that you are incompetent is so jealous of you that that can't sleep at night...

Yellow- People who talk to others with little to no respect- have little to no self respect...

Green- I like the color green and I would like it to stand alone today without a comment attached to it...

Blue- If I worked with you I would refer this bully to the school conselor- serious issues- deep seeded serious issues...

Indigo ( girls ) - Bet your tactics are making this person nervous in the service... you just need to butter her butt and call her a biscuit... easier said than done- Especially when it is at work, and you are passionate about the kids..and then this pisser ruins your day...

Violet- YOU ARE DAyUM DAyUM DAYUM good at what you do - and in the end you will win the victory- and the volcano pisser will ...well- piss on a volcano...and is this an active volcano.....cuz you KNOW WHAT comes next....

Don't let it bring you down. This shall pass...

Seriously, if you are good at what you do, then don't worry about her and her dinosaur self. Think about coming to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, you will be welcome. But... yeah... Teach on!!!

You have to confront her, maybe?! That's what I would do... but I'm mean like that.

It's been my experience that no matter where you work, there's always one person that you simply can't stand. The best thing to do is confront that person directly. When they make a rude comment, ask them "Do you have a problem with me?" Be polite but direct. Be firm but not angry. Once you really stand up for yourself, they will back down. Good luck!
